Broccoli Slaw with Chia and Hemp Seeds
Broccoli Slaw with chia and hemp seeds is a great tasting, nutritionally loaded salad recipe! Serve with grilled chicken for a healthy dinner or lunch.
This simple salad recipe made with julienned broccoli, carrots and red cabbage and super healthy sunflower, chia and hemp seed. I tossed it all together with my creamy Avocado Dressing.

Broccoli Slaw with Chia and Hemp Seeds
Ingredients
- 1 cup broccoli julienned or chopped
- 1/2 cup carrots julienned or chopped
- 1/2 cup red cabbage shredded
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup avocado dressing
Instructions
- Julienne the broccoli, carrots, shred the cabbage and toss together in a large bowl.
- Sprinkle in the hemp, chia and sunflower seeds.
- Toss with avocado dressing, or your favorite coleslaw dressing.

I just bought a bag of hemp seeds for smoothies. I love the idea of adding them to this broccoli slaw.
Chia seeds are great on all kinds of salad, I sprinkle them on my cereal, on peanut butter toast. Such an easy way to get extra nutrients.
Where do you buy Chia seeds? I have never heard of them.
Diana I get mine at Costco, but any health food market should carry them.
