Steak and Blue Cheese Bites
A tasty appetizer that combines the bold flavor of blue cheese with figs, and tender grilled steak. This Steak and Blue Cheese Bites recipe is easy to make and will have everyone loving blue cheese.

Ingredients for Steak and Blue Cheese bites
- For these steak bites I used beef tenderloin which was pan-seared in a cast iron skillet with fresh thyme and garlic.
- Blue Cheese: The most common blue cheeses are French Roquefort or Italian Gorgonzola. Its creamy, crumbly texture and sharp, nutty flavor makes it a perfect complement to the sweet figs.
- Figs: the natural sweet taste of dried figs balances the flavor of the tangy blue cheese in one delicious bite!
- Crescent roll dough: store-bought crescent dough is easy for rolling the steak bites together. It bakes up buttery and flaky, making an incredible hot appetizer.
- Seasoning: simple seasoning of fresh thyme and garlic with ground black pepper and salt.

Thank you so much Margaret, hope you are having an enjoyable summer.
Hi Brenda, I’m not sure this would taste so good at room temperature, but do a test batch to see. I would suggest sealing the crescent roll pastry to keep the steak, cheese and figs inside the pasty instead of oozing out.
