The days are getting colder, and the sun is setting earlier. As the leaves change color and fall to the ground, it’s clear that we’re in fall. While everyone else craves pumpkin spice, I crave something simpler – cinnamon. Today I am featuring a Cinnamon Spice Menu.
Cinnamon boasts a warm, sweet, and slightly spicy flavor, enhancing a wide range of dishes (both savory and sweet). Its familiar aroma evokes warmth and nostalgia and is used in many of my recipes.
To showcase some of my top blog recipes with cinnamon, I’m sharing a “What’s on the Menu?” spread that I like to call “Cinnamon, Spice, Everything Nice”.
The irresistible flavour of cinnamon makes it a great spice to use in both sweet and savory dishes. I love this aromatic spice in desserts like Apple Pie or breakfast recipes like my amazing Fuel to Go Muffins.
Cinnamon Raisin Scones
Homemade cinnamon raisin scones are moist and buttery with a delightful crumbly exterior, surpassing coffee shop scones in flavor. They pair wonderfully with my Cinnamon Cream Cheese Butter or your favorite jam.
This creamy and sweet Cinnamon Cream Cheese Butter is a perfect spread for scones, muffins, toast, biscuits, and more! It's reminiscent of the beloved Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Butter and offers an easy-to-make, homemade alternative. The inclusion of cream cheese gives it an extra creamy texture, making it a delightful upgrade for fans of cinnamon toast.
What's fantastic about this Cinnamon Swirl Cake recipe is its simplicity and incredible taste. It delivers the delightful flavor of a cinnamon bun without the need for all-day baking. Plus, it calls for ingredients typically found in our pantry, making it a convenient choice for a moist coffee cake for brunch, tea time, or as an after-dinner dessert.
This recipe is one of my favorite pumpkin spice recipes. And, of course, what pumpkin spice recipe is complete without cinnamon? These cookies make the perfect fall dessert and will make your kitchen smell amazing! You certainly can't beat the comforting smell of fall spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger this time of year!
